Would You Like To Get More Bookings? Easily?

One of your main goals at each show should be to book at least one more (or two more) shows. Don’t be afraid to just come right out and ask each and every guest if they would like to host a show.
Here are a few excuses that you may here and a response that you can give.
1. My house is too small, my husband wouldn’t like it, I have no furniture - Have it at a friends house, parents house, in a church basement, in a firehall, anywhere you can think of.
2. Just too expensive right now – Get each guest to bring something (food, snacks, drinks, etc…)
3. I can’t afford to buy anything anyways – This is the reason for having it in the first place! You earn free product!
4. No one would come! – Ask everyone at the current show if they would attend a show in a month or so if someone hosted another one. I am sure that most everyone will agree to attend. Remind your prospective hostess that if she starts early telling everyone she knows she will have plenty of guests. Tell her that you will help her get the word out. (In an upcoming post we will talk a lot about ‘hostess coaching’)
5. I work fulltime, I don’t have time to host a party, I have too much going on. - You found time to come to this party tonight. Your show will be in your house. Even easier because you don’t have to go anywhere.
6. I don’t really know anyone, I don’t have any friends – Perfect. You can introduce yourself to your neighbors and co-workers and invite them to your party.
7. If they just say they are not interested, ask them why. Then take it from there with the counter argument.
8. Kids are home. – Get an older sibling or neighbor to babysit. Invite other moms to bring their kids also.
9. I am too busy! I just don’t want to do it. – Ok, No problem. Have a book show instead.
Just think about what your business will look like a year from now if you were to book two additional shows at every one of your shows. It may seem like this is an impossible goal, however what harm will it do to give it a shot.
