Who told you making money from home would be easy?

I don’t know how it got started or why so many people believe it but there is a dirty little secret that has been going on for a long time in the world of direct sales and home show party sales.

Have you believed it?

Here it is…. Making money from home is easy.

Why in the world would we ever believe that making money home show party business is going to be a piece of cake? Think about it, is anything that’s truly wonderful ever easy to attain?

Want a great marriage? It’s gonna take work!

Want a hot body? It’s gonna take work!

Want to be a great athlete? It’s gonna take work!

The same is true for business and it kind of blows my mind that anyone would think it’s possible to make great money in direct sales without work and lots of it.

Am I saying that making good money in the home show sales party business isn’t possible?  Not at all.  It is just going to take some hard work.

It’s funny how we are willing to work really really hard for success in a regular j.o.b. but we won’t do the same for our own business. Many times in my life I would work harder than anyone else in my department so that my boss would take notice and promote me. I would come in weekends, and work overtime and still never really got ahead.

But when it came to my own business I seemed to be under the impression that working just a little bit would get me huge results… why is that?!

If you’re still trying to figure out if a home show party sales business is right for you let me be one of the first people to be completely honest with you…. It’s gonna take work to succeed.

If you’re ok with the idea of working hard for your goals then you are in the right place. If working hard doesn’t bother you then you will probably do very well.  There is nothing like a you own business to allow you to live an amazing life and if you’re willing to work hard for it… it will pay off big time!

It can’t be said enough that the key to success in any home  based business is all about your mindset.  Whether your business is selling baskets, kitchen supplies or financial planning,  if you believe you’re going to be successful and you maintain a positive attitude there isn’t anything you can not accomplish.

Most people who are in a home based business are looking and searching for a way to take their business to the next level. If you want to do that you need look no further than looking at yourself. When you improve yourself you’ll totally be able to improve your business almost overnight.

It’s not always easy but it’s always worth it. Improving yourself doesn’t mean that there’s something wrong with you or that you aren’t good at what you’re doing. But people should constantly be improving themselves if they want to continue to grow in their business.

So what are some ways that you can improve upon yourself? Maybe you need a boost in confidence. Many people do and when you bring your confidence to the next level your business won’t be able to stop it’s self from growing. Some people need to learn how to listen better or take direction.

Still others need to stop procrastinating. Whatever it is that you want to work on there are probably a ton of websites that you can visit for free or books and ebooks that you can purchase that will help you get where you want to go.

Try not to focus on improving 5 different things at once just work on one at a time and when you feel that you’ve mastered one move on to the other. Also, don’t just read a book and then forget about it. Really try to learn and retain what you’ve read and use it in your everyday life as well as your business.

You can also read a ton of books on how to be successful in business although, honestly most people need to be less focus on their business skills and more focused on their life skills.

Once you start to see an improvement in yourself an improvement in your check is soon to follow. So take a good hard look at yourself and start working to make yourself a better person because when you do you’ll see a whole lot more success in your home based business.

If you haven’t already experienced this yourself you soon will.  When you begin your journey to success as a direct sales / home show party consultant you’re going to hear a few snickers here and there.  This could come from close friends, co-workers, even family members.  You could even have people in your life who will straight out laugh at you and tell you your not going to make it. They will tell you that no one wants to buy your product.  They will tell you that direct selling is a scam.  They will tell you that no one wants to host a home show party.  However, when you learn to ignore these people you will be the one laughing all the way to the bank. How much enthusiasm do you show during your sales presentations?
Do you really convey how excited you are about your newest product?

Genuine enthusiasm about your products, your company, and most importantly, about helping your customers find the perfect product to solve their problems is absolutely essential. Convey this enthusiasm and you will differentiate yourself from your competition.

Think back to the last time that you experienced outstanding, enthusiastic service from a sales or customer service person. What was it about that person in particular that was so amazing? I bet you remember them because of something they did that exceeded your expectations. Most of the time when this happens it is the sheer enthusiasm that enables this person to go the extra mile.
